Chavez Excels, But Sky Sox Win
The New Orleans Brass got a sterling performance from third baseman Eric Chavez, but the Sky Sox still prevailed, 10-8. Chavez was named the player of the game in a losing cause. In the top of the eighth, Brent Brede had a big 2-run double off Luis Aquino. With the double, the Colorado Springs designated hitter put his team in front, 6-5. He was 2-5 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 in the contest.
