Missions Hold Off Sky Sox, 4-3

The San Antonio Missions took Colorado Springs pitcher Brian Bohanon's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Motors Ballpark. The final score had San Antonio getting past the Sky Sox, 4-3. Bohanon went 9 innings and allowed 4 earned runs, striking out 11. Allan Anderson went 7.1 innings for San Antonio to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with 2 earned runs. He scattered 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record improves to 2-0. The first-place Missions have a one-game lead in their division.
San Antonio used the timely hitting of Kelly Gruber to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Missions on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Colorado Springs skipper .
