Omaha first baseman Kevin Witt had a good game, even if his team did not. The Storm Chasers dropped a 6-5 decision to Salt Lake City at Bella Vista Grounds. Witt was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Donnie Elliott nailed down his 3rd save. Salt Lake City now has a 3-game win streak.
Salt Lake City took a 6-3 lead on Sal Fasano's 9th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Omaha pitcher Benj Sampson in the bottom of the eighth.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Fasano.
