Buzz Take Tight Tilt
|
The Salt Lake City Buzz dealt the Omaha Storm Chasers a 4-3 loss at Bella Vista Grounds. Carlos A. Martinez was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. The Buzz, at 27-19, have now won 4 straight.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Buzz grabbed the lead when Dave Staton rapped a two-out home run. Salt Lake City was trailing 3-2, when Staton hit a 2-run home run off Jim Parque to put his team in front, 4-3.
After the game, Salt Lake City manager applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
