Dellucci Stars in Sky Sox Win
|
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox powered past the Salt Lake City Buzz, 13-7, at Bella Vista Grounds. David Dellucci was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. The Sky Sox sit in third place in the Pacific Central with a record of 22-27.
Colorado Springs used the timely hitting of Mitch Meluskey to capture the win. The catcher stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sky Sox on top, 9-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Dellucci told the Colorado Springs News.
