Benefiting from Darren Daulton's productive game, the Idaho Falls Chukars downed the Naperville Lazy Fisherman, 8-5. Daulton was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Chukars. The 5th-place Chukars improved to 21-29.

There were several reasons the Chukars beat the Lazy Fisherman, but one factor was Stephen Larkin. In the top of the fifth, the Idaho Falls first baseman came to bat and hit a 2-run home run. It staked his team to a 6-5 lead.

"If it's down the middle," said Daulton, "you might as well hit it."
