Darryl Kile never let Arizona get something going. The San Diego right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Padres to a 6-1 win. With the win, San Diego goes to 11-12.
In the bottom of the third inning with one out, San Diego designated hitter Manny Ramirez hit a 2-run single. It made the score 3-0, Padres. For the day, Ramirez went 1 for 4, while adding 3 RBI.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Ramirez, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
