The Spokane River Rats trumped the Omaha Storm Chasers, 10-4, at Maples Stadium. Spokane right fielder Kevin Millar was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Rick Helling got the win, improving to 8-5. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 4 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The River Rats bumped their record to 36-26 with this latest triumph.

In the top of the first, Millar pounced on a 1-1 sinker from Geremi Gonzalez and hit a 2-run home run. It put Spokane on top, 2-0.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Millar told the Spokane Chronicle.
