Victory Over Rainiers Takes San Antonio to 41-24
|
The San Antonio Missions topped the Tacoma Rainiers by the score of 5-3, with the largest share of the credit going to center fielder Doug Glanville. Glanville went 3-4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs for the Missions. Mike J Grace, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. San Antonio goes to 41-24. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.
San Antonio used the timely hitting of Ryan Jackson to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Missions ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Glanville told the San Antonio Citizen.
