Tarantulas Come Back Late to Clip Rainiers
|
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Darren Bragg, the Tucson Tarantulas defeated the Tacoma Rainiers, 7-4. Bragg went 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Tarantulas. Keith Foulke, credited with the save, is now 16 for 17 in save opportunities. The Tarantulas' win now puts them at 34-33.
Ivan Cruz in the top of the eighth had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Tarantulas trailing 4-2, the Tucson right fielder hit a 3-run home run.
"We'll savor this win," Cruz told the Tucson Times, "then get ready for the next game."
