New Orleans pitcher Bob Wickman gave the Storm Chasers all they could handle, but in the end, Omaha left Bay Hawks Ballpark with a 2-1 win. Wickman allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 8.1 innings. Omaha is now 31-35, while New Orleans is 39-27.

Had Ramon E Martinez not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Martinez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Storm Chasers.

"It was a good effort all around," said Martinez.
