Kiyohara Helps Storm Chasers Run Win Streak to 3
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers topped the New Orleans Brass by the score of 8-5, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Kazuhiro Kiyohara. Kiyohara went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Storm Chasers. Omaha now has a 3-game win streak.
Mike Frank, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1997 draft, aided the Omaha cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3 with a walk.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Frank.
