Storm Chasers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
New Orleans catcher John Flaherty had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Flaherty went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, even as Omaha beat the Brass, 9-5. Flaherty was named the player of the game despite the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Omaha.
Mike Frank had an important at-bat with no one out in the top of the seventh, when he hit a run-scoring single. His 59th hit of the season put Omaha on top, 5-4.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Frank told the Omaha Herald.
