Brass Solve Sky Sox, 6-3
|
The Brass had to overcome a good performance from Colorado Springs pitcher Brian Bohanon to claim a 6-3 win at Motors Ballpark. Bohanon went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. With the win over Colorado Springs, the Brass improved to 40-31.
The Brass got an important contribution from right fielder Willis Otanez, who in the top of the seventh hit a 2-2 fastball into center for a run-scoring single. It was his 75th hit of the season and put the Brass ahead, 5-3.
Otanez called the triumph "a good team win."
