Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Twins
|
Metrodome was sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
The Milwaukee Creams got a superb performance from pitcher Jim Neidlinger. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Minnesota. The Twins won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Neidlinger was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of 2-hit ball. The Creams fall to 9-15 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Having an impact for Minnesota was Larry Walker. In the bottom of the tenth inning, the four-time All-Star had a run-scoring single to make the score 4-3, Twins.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Walker said.
