Sounds Need Extra Frames to Get Past Storm Chasers
|
Calvin Pickering left his imprint on the 8-2 Nashville win against the Omaha Storm Chasers. Pickering, who is tied for 4th in the PAC in home runs with 17, hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, the Sounds have a record of 34-43.
George Lombard had a nice at-bat for the Sounds with one out in the top of the 15th. With the bases loaded, the center fielder hit a run-scoring single, which would prove important in the Nashville win.
In postgame remarks, Pickering simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
