River Rats Solve Chukars, 6-2
|
The Spokane River Rats stymied the Idaho Falls Chukars, 6-2, at Foxes Ballpark. Kevin Millar, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Spokane. Spokane is now 44-31, 3 games up in the Pacific West.
Millar had a key at-bat for Spokane early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 16th double of the season and gave Spokane an early 1-0 lead.
"We had a nice day," said Spokane skipper .
