Storm Chasers Come Back Late to Top Rainiers
|
The Tacoma Rainiers got a sterling performance from pitcher Greg Keagle, but the Storm Chasers still prevailed, 7-4. Keagle was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Reliever Roberto Duran picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Mike Mohler took the loss. Scott Arnold recorded the save for Omaha, his 8th of the season.
In the top of the ninth, Omaha catcher Henry Blanco had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Blanco stroked a bases-clearing double to left. It made the score 6-4, Omaha. For the game, he went 1-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"I like our mindset right now," said Omaha manager .
The Storm Chasers have now won 4 straight.
