Tarantulas Win in Extras
|
The Tucson Tarantulas stopped the Salt Lake City Buzz, 7-3, at Bella Vista Grounds. The Tarantulas got a big game from Pablo Martinez, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Keith Foulke, credited with the win, is now 3-4. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Salt Lake City has now lost 11 in a row.
The result might have been different for Tucson, had it not been for Ivan Cruz. The right fielder produced a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Tarantulas ahead, 4-3. For the game, Cruz had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"I like the roll we're on," said Tucson manager .
