Millwood, Senators Dispatch Orioles

Both teams had their chances, but the Washington Senators eventually prevailed at Memorial Stadium.
Washington got an elite performance from starting pitcher Kevin Millwood in taking a 2-1 decision over the Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore, at 3-22, is off to a dreadful start in 1998.
Millwood dominated for Washington, raising his record to 3-2. Baltimore hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 4 hits over 8.1 innings while striking out 6.
"This team is real focused right now," said Washington manager Alexander Cumana.
