River Rats Squelch Storm Chasers Offense in Shutout Win
|
Spokane and Omaha duked it out at Foxes Ballpark and the River Rats came out victorious.
Spokane left-hander Brian Dubois was in fine form, shutting out the Omaha Storm Chasers, 3-0. Matt Whisenant converted his 15th save in 18 tries.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Dubois was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Omaha trailing 2-0, Dubois retired Jason Maxwell, who flied out.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Spokane.
