The Naperville Lazy Fisherman grabbed a 12-3 win over the San Antonio Missions at Ballpark of Milton. Naperville right fielder Derrick May was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Naperville improves to 58-42 with the win. They lead their division by 2½ games.
The Lazy Fisherman took the lead in the bottom of the third. With two out, Matt Luke hit a 3-run home run off San Antonio pitcher Chad Ogea, putting Naperville in front, 6-1. For the game, Luke went 1-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager said.
