Victory Pushes Missions Record to 65-36
|
The San Antonio Missions stopped the Naperville Lazy Fisherman, 6-2, at Ballpark of Milton. The Missions got a big game from Alex Ochoa, who was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Allan Anderson, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 9-3. Bob Scanlan was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 2 save opportunities.
San Antonio used the clutch hitting of Mo Vaughn to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to give the Missions the lead, 4-2. For the game, Vaughn had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
