Cardinals Lose to Creams, 8-3
Starting pitcher Kelly Downs pitched well enough to help the Milwaukee Creams beat the St. Louis Cardinals by the score of 8-3. Milwaukee, at 68-68, occupies 5th place in the Federal League Central Division.

The Creams got an important contribution from first baseman Carlos Delgado, who in the top of the sixth hit a 2-0 changeup into right for a solo home run. It was his 33rd home run of the season and put the Creams ahead, 4-2.

Delgado attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
