Tarantulas Bridle Sky Sox, 4-2
|
Ballpark of Louisville was the site of a competitive game between the Colorado Springs Sky Sox and Tucson Tarantulas.
The Tucson Tarantulas got a stellar performance from pitcher Rick Krivda, who handcuffed the Colorado Springs offense en route to a 4-2 win at Ballpark of Louisville. Krivda got the win, improving to 9-7. He allowed 10 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Krivda allowed 2 earned runs. Keith Foulke got the save, his 23rd in 25 chances.
The Tarantulas beat the Sky Sox with some clutch hitting. The single by Scott McClain in the bottom of the fourth is a good example. With two down, McClain gave his team the lead, 1-0, when he came through with the big hit.
"We did a lot of things right," said McClain.
With the win, Tucson has a record of 50-59. Colorado Springs falls to 57-52.
