Missions Prevail, 10-8, Over New Orleans
|
Ruben Sierra did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the New Orleans Brass from losing, 10-8, to the San Antonio Missions at Texans Stadium. Sierra was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Mauro Gozzo, credited with the save, is now 26 for 27 in save opportunities. San Antonio is now 69-39, 4 games up in the Pacific Central.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when left fielder Alex Ochoa hit a single. The Missions went on to win.
Ochoa told a San Antonio Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
