Victory Pushes River Rats Record to 62-46
The Spokane River Rats knocked off the Idaho Falls Chukars, 5-3, at Alleycats Ballpark. John Mabry, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Spokane won. The designated hitter went 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. Bobby M Jones got the win, improving to 10-3. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Matt Whisenant converted his 17th save in 21 tries.

It could have been a different outcome for Spokane, had it not been for Devon White, the top prospect . White contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Spokane up, 2-0.

White said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."

This loss makes it 9 in a row for Idaho Falls.
