Tarantulas Topple Missions with Late Rally
|
The Tucson Tarantulas got a stellar performance from pitcher Sean Bergman, who handcuffed the San Antonio offense en route to a 4-2 win at Ballpark of Louisville. Keith Foulke got the save, his 26th in 28 chances. With the win over San Antonio , the Tarantulas improved to 53-62.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Scott McClain came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing San Antonio pitcher Bob Scanlan, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Tucson on top, 4-2.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Bergman told the Tucson Times.
