Chukars Win in Glorious Fashion
|
Omaha designated hitter Dave Berg had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Idaho Falls at Alleycats Ballpark. Berg went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Chukars now have a record of 43-75.
A key moment came in the bottom of the ninth inning when Chukars pinch hitter Jeff Abbott socked a 1-2 curveball to right-center for a run-scoring single, putting Idaho Falls up, 5-4.
"I was a little disappointed," said Omaha manager . "We could've and should've scored more runs."
