Tucson right fielder Ivan Cruz was instrumental in his team's 6-5 win over the Spokane River Rats. Cruz went 3-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Tarantulas. Keith Foulke earned the save for Tucson, his 28th of the year. The 4th-place Tarantulas are now 56-63, the River Rats 69-50.

Cruz had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 slider from Ricky Trlicek, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Tarantulas a 6-5 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Cruz.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Cruz. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
