Rainiers Sneak Past Storm Chasers, 4-3
The Tacoma Rainiers managed to get by the Omaha Storm Chasers, 4-3, at Maples Stadium. Tacoma pitcher Brian Rose took player of the game honors. Tacoma reliever Jeff Kubenka was credited with the win, to go to 2-7. Osvaldo Fernandez took the loss for Omaha. The third-place Rainiers lifted their record to 58-63.
