Buffalo Breaks Through for First Win in Division Series; Now Trails 2-1
The Buffalo Bisons have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Danville Dairy Daddies, winning 5-1 at Aspinwall Grounds today. Bisons left-hander Bruce Chen was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Bisons to 2-1 in the best-of-5 Division Series.

The Bisons liked what they saw from Chen. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Dairy Daddies to 1 earned run on 4 hits over 7 innings, and striking out 8.

"We were a little off-kilter to start the series, but we're getting things figured out now," Buffalo manager told reporters. "At least I hope we are."

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow. Slated to start are Chris Bosio for Danville and Shawn Boskie for Buffalo.
