The Danville Dairy Daddies defeated the Buffalo Bisons, 7-1 in Game 5 of the Division Series today. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter David Ortiz, who was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win moves Danville into a 3-2 lead in the series.

Flexing his muscles for Danville was the aforementioned Ortiz. The designated hitter had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first for the Dairy Daddies. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Danville manager .
