Devil Rays Drop Another One
The game between St. Louis and Orlando is in the books, despite a little rain.

The St. Louis Cardinals picked up a win at Orlando Citrus Bowl, knocking off the Orlando Devil Rays, 5-2. Starting pitcher Andy Benes was an essential part of his team's success. The save was Mariano Rivera's, his 3rd.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the bottom of the third inning, but Benes was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Orlando trailing 2-1, Benes retired Bobby Bonilla, who popped out.

The Devil Rays fall to 12-17 and continue their lackluster start in 1998.
