Chicago starter Mike Dunne pitched effectively against the Florida Marlins at Joe Robbie Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. Dunne got the win, improving to 2-4. He allowed 5 hits and walked 4 over 7 innings. Dunne allowed 2 earned runs. The win puts the Cubs at 13-21, while the Marlins drop to 21-12.

It could have been a different outcome for Chicago, had it not been for Jon Nunnally, the 26-year old right fielder . Nunnally contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Chicago up, 5-1.
