The Charlotte Knights got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Fumiya Nishiguchi, but it was good enough for the club to take a 5-2 decision over the Philadelphia Phillies. Charlotte is off to a hot start at 3-1.

Jeff Bagwell had a big 2-run double for the Knights in the bottom of the third inning. With Charlotte leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Brian Moehler and stroked the double to right-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Knights ahead, 3-0.

"We've got a great group of guys," Bagwell said, "and we're having fun right now."
