A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Kal Daniels, who finished 3rd in the FL in slugging percentage with .572 in 1990, led the Minnesota Twins to a 8-4 win over the Charlotte Knights. Minnesota's record now stands at 17-20, placing them 5th in the Federal League Central Division.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Frank Thomas came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Charlotte pitcher Steve Shirley, he hit a 0-1 curveball for a 2-run home run. It was a game-changer, putting Minnesota on top, 6-4.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Minnesota skipper Darren Fischbach.
