The Cleveland Spiders topped the Minnesota Twins, 9-5, with catcher Todd Hundley playing a big role. Hundley was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Spiders in the win. With the loss, Minnesota falls to 0-5.

Hundley contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Cleveland in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-0, Hundley took a fastball from Darren Oliver and stroked the home run to left-center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Spiders to leap in front, 3-2.
