Twins Walk It Off for 20th Win of Season
The Minnesota Twins scored a 4-3 win versus the Philadelphia Phillies at Metrodome. Minnesota pitcher Hideo Nomo nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Twins saw their record improve to 20-21.

Frank Thomas, who finished 2nd in the FL in on-base percentage with .408 in 1996, helped out the Minnesota cause in the bottom of the tenth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the first baseman was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks.
