Diamondbacks Get Road Win, 5-3
The Arizona Diamondbacks topped the Washington Senators by the score of 5-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Fernando Tatis. Tatis was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Diamondbacks on the day. Danny Patterson earned save number 9. The Diamondbacks bumped their record to 23-20 with this latest triumph.

Tatis had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 cutter from Andy Pettitte, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Diamondbacks a 5-2 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Tatis.

Tatis said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
