Knights Deal Spiders Painful Loss
The Knights grabbed a win, 3-2, at Comiskey Park, overcoming a fine effort from Cleveland pitcher Bob Sebra. Sebra went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Charlotte reliever Chad Fox was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Steve Karsay took the loss for Cleveland. The last-place Spiders have dropped 4 straight games.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Charlotte third baseman Tony Batista, facing Steve Karsay, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Knights the 3-2 win.

Batista attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
