Rusch, Phillies Dispatch Twins
The Philadelphia Phillies got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Glendon Rusch, but it was good enough for the club to take a 1-0 decision over the Minnesota Twins. Bryan Eversgerd finished to wrap up his 1st save. The Phillies, now 20-25, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

Rusch, a native of Seattle, Washington, was dealing all game. He kept Minnesota hitters off-balance, while giving the Phillies 8 quality innings. Rusch threw 102 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6.
