Jenkins Excels, Washington Blows Out Arizona
Washington played host to Arizona at the friendly confines of RFK Stadium.

The Washington Senators handed the Arizona Diamondbacks a sound defeat, 14-1, at RFK Stadium. Geoff Jenkins was a main contributor to the win. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Washington. The Senators, at 28-16, lead by one game in their division.

Albert Belle contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat that helped send Washington to the win.

"We've got a great group of guys," Belle said, "and we're having fun right now."
