Johnson Sensational for Mets
New York left-hander Randy Johnson was sensational in shutting out the Los Angeles Dodgers, 2-0. Todd Jones got credit for the save for New York. It was his 4th of the year. New York has now won 3 straight, while the Dodgers have lost 3 in a row.

Johnson, who dominated for New York, earned the victory to move to 5-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 6 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 8. Los Angeles batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

Johnson called the triumph "a good team win."
