Twins Rally For Late Win Over Spiders
Minnesota first baseman Frank Thomas was instrumental in his team's 9-3 win over the Cleveland Spiders. Thomas, who finished 4th in the FL in RBI with 130 in 1995, went 1-3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Twins. The Twins, with just their 1st win in 6 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

Minnesota took a 8-3 lead on Thomas's 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Trey Moore in the top of the eighth, propelled Minnesota to the win.

"We did a lot of things right," said Thomas.
