Johnson Slugs Marlins to 7-5 Win
The Florida Marlins beat the Charlotte Knights, 7-5, at Comiskey Park. Florida catcher Charles Johnson earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The Marlins own a robust 34-17 mark.

Florida took a 6-2 lead on Johnson's 11th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Bret Saberhagen in the top of the seventh, propelled Florida to the win.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Johnson. "And not try to do too much."
