Marlins Drop Cubs with Late Score
|
Florida right-hander Rene Arocha made an effective start against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Billy Wagner nailed down his 1st save. Florida, at 4-1, is off to a blistering start.
It could have been a different outcome for Florida, had it not been for Richie Sexson, the former first round draft pick . Sexson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Florida up, 2-1.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Arocha told reporters after the game.
