Phillies Topple Knights with Late Rally
The Philadelphia Phillies stopped the Charlotte Knights, 7-5, behind an impressive performance from J.R. Phillips. The 27-year old center fielder made life miserable for Charlotte pitching. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Paul Assenmacher nailed down his 1st save. Philadelphia is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 6 games.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and one out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when designated hitter Bubba Trammell, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1996 draft, hit a single. The Phillies went on to win.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Phillips said.
