6 Straight Wins for Knights
The Charlotte Knights picked up a win at Milwaukee County Stadium, knocking off the Milwaukee Creams, 2-1. Starting pitcher Fumiya Nishiguchi played a key role in the triumph. Nishiguchi, now 5-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. Charlotte has now won 6 games in a row.

Charlotte needed the clutch hitting of Tony Batista to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Knights on top, 2-1. For the game, Batista had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I really like what we did out there today," Nishiguchi said after the game.
