Phillies Win at Kansas City, 6-2
Gabe Kapler left his imprint on the 6-2 Philadelphia win against the Kansas City Royals. Kapler, who is rated as the 79th best prospect by BNN, was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The Phillies go to 29-38, putting them 4th in the Federal League East Division.

Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Mike Gallego to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Phillies on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"I felt good up there," said Kapler. "I saw the ball well."
